A young man of fifteen collapsed on the dirt floor, his stomach growling. His fingers scrabbled at anything he could reach, especially something edible. Food... he thought desperately. I need food! T-T
He rolled over on his side so he was facing the sun and covered his face. "Gahhh.. this place is so..." He rolled over again. "I.. need foood....."

A young girl, fifteen was her age. Walking in the streets of central with a basket of bread, her state alchemist watch in her skirt pocket, the chain hanging out..her dark brown eyes soon glazed over a boy in the dirt..she gasped and ran to him, she looked down at him and said "Um Excuse me, are you ok?"

Ling rolled over on his side and leaped up. "Nope! I'm good!"
He glanced at her bag curiously. "So what kind of pastries do you have? I'm Ling by the way," he added. "You are..?"

Ling tipped his head to one side curiously. "Interesting food there.." he said, but he took a cupcake and chomped down. His eyes instantly widened and he gobbled the rest down. "Thif stuff is grea-mmmm..." he said happily. "May I have another?^^"

Emily just smiled "Sure, go ahead."she said and she sighed, streaching her arms up with a yawn, she had not gotten much sleep due to work..Homuncli problem gah being a pain in the neck...really she had the most biggest pain in her neck from work!

"Food.." Ling said slowly. Then he suddenly blushed. "I.. just ate some of your food, didn't I?" He quickly bowed. "I'm sorry! Is there anyway I can repay you?" Ling turned out his pockets to show they were empty. "I don't have any cash on me right now, but.."

Emily just laughed "Oh no!! dont be sorry!"she said then she sighed and stopped laughing as she looked at him with a smile and a light blush on her face and said "I dont need anything in return, so Ling..do you have any where to stay?"she asked "If not your welcome to stay at my house, it's really lonely there..it's just me and my cat.."she said

Ling grinned rather sheepishly. "If it's not too much trouble on you.. Although now I'm taking advantage of your hospitality a bit, don't you think?" He tipped his head to one side. "Are you sure there's nothing you need help on?"

Emily smiled "Great!"she said happily and she turned around to see a whole crowd of people walking here and there "Crap.."she said thens he sighed and grabbed Ling's hand and began walking through the crowd of people, her basket in her other hand "Jeez, stupid people traffic.."

Ling let himself be steered through the crowd, and he admired the pedestrians at the same time. Amestrisian people dress strangely, he thought to himself. And at the same time, he wondered where Lan Fan and Fu were. Hopefully they weren't looking for him..

Emily a sigh of relief of she and the boy got out of the crowd and were standing in front of a big house, it looked like any normal house. it was two stories high and she smiled "We're here, come on in!"she said, she openedd the white gates that surrounded her home and then came two dogs, one golden lab, one german shepard. Emily then blushed and let go of Ling's hand then yelped as her dogs glomped her "GAH YOU FAT LARDS!!"said Emily while laughing at the licks the dogs gave emily and she finally ush the dogs off of her "They do that to me everyday..I get use to it.."and she laughed a bit then got up and walked to the door and opened it while the dogs ran to the backyard. "Ok Ling, you can come in.'said Emily and she smiled

"Um..They're just kids, about..3 years old I think..."said Emily and she then said "I also have a cat, I just got him yesterday and I've already forgot how old he is.."she said with a weak laugh then a black, white, and with orange here and there furred kitten mewed and she giggled and rubbed it's head "Ello Boo-Boo!"she said and she kissed it's forehead and giggled
